The rose garden is absolutely stunning—truly a hidden gem in Minneapolis. I recently had a photoshoot here taken by my husband, and every shot turned out beautifully. This location is perfect for all types of photoshoots—whether it’s an elopement, graduation, wedding, couples session, friendship shoot, or even a simple self-portrait. There are so many picturesque spots throughout the garden, each offering its own unique backdrop. What makes it even better is that there’s a Japanese garden just a short 5-minute walk away, adding even more variety and iconic scenery for photography. I’ve done several photoshoots here, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, versatile outdoor location.

Enjoyed our walk through the garden. The border plantings were just as nice and interesting as the roses. The garden is conveniently located at lake Harriet with easy access. We were able to park for free on the parkway nearby and walk less than a quarter mile to get there, with many other closer parking spots available. We visited in a hot and sunny day and of course the rises like the sun, so the stand of trees on the lakeside of the garden is a great respite after the stroll. The only reason for four stars is the specific condition of the roses during our visit. Despite it being in the first days of July, which should be high season, the bushes didn't look so healthy or thriving. Nevertheless, it's always nice to stop and smell the roses.

At least an acre of rose bushes. If I had been there on "the" perfect day of blooming for them, probably would have given it a five. Love strolling around, lots of other paths to explore as well.

A beautiful and peaceful place for a free outing. Not all of the roses were in bloom yet, but the gardens were still lovely and relaxing to walk through. The fountain and flowers made for a great experience. Just be aware that while admission is free, parking is paid. Looking forward to visiting again when more flowers are blooming!

This park is beautifully maintained. What a wonderful place to view flowers and birds. It can get busy on gorgeous weekend days but it is large enough to still feel like you have some personal space.
